The private water industry was up 6.1% in 2003 despite high-profile contract losses.
The private water industry saw a 6.1% increase in the number of people it serves worldwide in the year to end- October, according to the Masons Water Yearbook 2003-2004. This rate of growth is slightly down on the 6.7% increase in 2002 and a 10+% improvement recorded by the yearbook for each of the three previous years.
