South Africa: Umgeni Water slipped back into the red for the interim period to December 2002. The company reported a loss of R7.1 million ($850,000).

UK: Suez put Northumbrian Water up for sale. The asking price is thought to be between €3 billion and €4 billion (see story, p.9).

United States: United Water and the city of Atlanta agreed to end their 20-year operations and maintenance agreement signed in 1999 (see story, p.10). The contract was worth annual revenues of $20 million.
