Vivendi to lose its hold over Sanepar

The state of ParanĂ£ is seeking greater control of its water company.

The new governor of Paraná, Roberto Requião, said the state would take a more dominant role in the management of its water company Companhia Saneamento do Paraná (Sanepar) this month.

Requião said that Vivendi Environnement (VE) had assumed this role despite having less than a third of the shares in Sanepar.
