Italy: The regional authorities of the drought-stricken Mediterranean island of Sardinia allocated €371 million to alleviate the area’s water crisis.
A public-private holding company is to be set up before the summer to run integrated water services across the island. Private operators will hold no less than 40% of the company’s capital.
