Panama: The International Finance Corporation (IFC) signed an agreement to invest up to $15 million in the Biwater subsidiary, Aguas de Panama.

The investment will help maintain a scheme to supply bulk
water to the state-owned utility, Instituto de Acueductos y Alcantarillados Nacionales (Idaan). The investment proceeds will be used to replace bridge shareholder financing from Biwater, which provided $25 million to build a WTP at Laguna Alta – now in operation.
