Framework deals agreed by environment ministry

The Italian environment ministry has closed framework agreements worth €10 billion for the provision of clean drinking water.
Meanwhile, Italy’s environment ministry has given the go-ahead for an ambitious plan which aims to provide ‘clean and abundant’ tap water to all Italians. Since December last year, the ministry has been signing framework programmes with the regional authorities of Lazio, Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Liguria, Lombardy, Molise, Basilicata, Abruzzo and Apulia.
