Saudis consider demand-side reforms

Steps are being taken to address network problems, as evidenced by a series of studies undertaken by Thames Water. The main issue, however, is tariffs although there is some positive news on this front.

There is evidence to suggest that the authorities in Saudi Arabia are moving quickly to tackle some of the challenges facing the Kingdom’s water sector. In addition to an ambitious IWPP programme, recent
