The US contract operations market was down by nearly three quarters last year. But, as Larry Chertoff reports, not everyone was unhappy.
The contract operations industry struggled through a difficult year. By our measure, the number of deals dropped by 20% while the value of contracts declined by almost 73%. The dramatic loss of business and the shift to smaller projects marks an inflection point not seen since the 1997 IRS ruling allowing long-term contracts.
