Ofwat eased up on its draft determinations for the English and Welsh water companies when it published its final determinations at the begining of December (see table).
The 18% rise recognises some of the concerns raised by the water companies, but fails to tackle the longer term issue of funding investment for the EU Water Framework Directive.
