Full year results suggest that water is being left behind by energy at Suez. Is it time for a demerger?
Last month, Suez released its turnover figures for 2003. They showed that revenues were €39.6 billion, compared with €40.8 billion for 2002. However, various material changes during the year, most notably the Nalco sale and the disposal of most of the Northumbrian Water shareholding, seriously distort the underlying trend.
