Eight bidding parties pre-qualified for an estimated m-m contract to build, own and operate a 22,500m<sup>3</sup>/d seawater RO plant in Nassau, capital of the Bahamas.

The plant’s initial capacity could be increased by 4,800m3/d at a later stage. Bids for the 20- year BOO contract are due in March. The Bahamas Water & Sewerage Corporation is hoping to appoint a preferred bidder by mid-May to secure government approval of the contract in the current budget year.
