Tampa Bay Water has paid .4 million to Covanta to leave the troubled desalination facility it built for the Florida water authority.
The deal settles any claims and counter claims between the two parties relating to the 25MGD (95m3/d) plant, and leaves TBW in control of the plant, with control and rights to the million performance bond posted by Covanta.
