UWEC has started informal discussions with potential partners. A formal tender process will follow in the fourth quarter.
A total of nine organisations are understood to have expressed interest in the Fujairah IWPP in the United Arab Emirates. Companies to have responded to an RFQ sent out in March include International Power, AES Corporation, Tractebel, Mitsui and Sumitomo. The client is the Abu Dhabi government-owned Union Water and Electricity Company (UWEC).
