When Veolia decided to sell the bulk of US Filter to Siemens, the rump of the business needed a new strategy. COO Joe Burgess tells GWI the plan.
It was never going to be easy to divide US Filter along clean strategic lines. The company has been built up on the rationale that there were significant synergies between supplying water equipment and operating water services.
The equipment business benefited from a captive customer, while the operating services business benefited from in-house technologies.
