CWC pushes ahead in China

Thames’ associate company in China has an established position in wholesale water projects. Now it is looking to expand into retail distribution.

The China Water Company is pushing ahead with new projects in China despite doubts about the commitment of Thames Water, its main shareholder, to the market.

The China Water Company has six investments in the Chinese water sector, operating water treatment works in Shenyang, Shaoxing, Taixing, Xinmin, Qitaihe, and Yanjiao serving 2.9 million people.
