Equipment beats utilities in US market

The US quoted water sector also beat the index in 2004, with equipment stocks in the lead – thanks to GE.
Much like the fresh water they treat and deliver, investor-owned water utilities received increased attention and appreciation in 2004 but still appear to be undervalued; at the same time, manufacturers of water desalination equipment attracted strong investor interest in their growth potential.
