The desalination side of the plant has been more successful than the power side. UWEC has appointed consultants to find out what has gone wrong.
According to UWEC’s general manager Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, the Fujairah plant became fully operational on 15 June 2004. It is currently achieving outputs in excess of the designed capacity.
