Veolia scoops up Enel Hydro

Veolia takes a leading position in the Italian market. It may require patience.

French giant Veolia confirmed its interest in the Italian water market by acquiring water company Enel Hydro, a subsidiary of Italy’s former electricity monopolist Enel, just before Christmas. Enel Hydro runs water services in Calabria, southern Italy, and in the province of Latina, just south of Rome.
