Two significant new desal plants opened for business last month: Tuas in Singapore and Ashkelon in Israel.
Between them they have shaved at least $0.10 off the price of a cubic metres of desalinated water. Tuas is an impressive plant which should banish any suggestions that Hyflux can’t deliver world class desalination facilities.
