The Dubai Electricity & Water Authority’s Branly Nassour said that Dubai was targeting the reduction of unaccounted-for water to 8% by 2010 (see story, p15).
The authority has already reduced UFW from 40% to 13% over the last decade. Oman was considering the introduction of water quotas in agriculture as part of its water resources development strategy, according to Khalid Al-Busaidi from the Ministry of Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources.
