Germany\'s new government has decided not to act against the discrepancy which penalises private wastewater provision.
Despite urgent calls from Germany’s water lobby organisations for harmonisation of VAT rates in the water and wastewater sectors, the new conservative-social democrat “grand coalition” government has decided “the tax privilege for wastewater should be maintained”.
