RWE opts for stability before growth

The German utility’s water business was slow going in 2004; but it is still committed to a big investment plan.

The RWE group is unperturbed by a 4% drop in revenue – to €4.065 billion – at subsidiary RWE Thames Water in 2004. Currency effects, mainly resulting from the weaker US dollar, reduced sales by €148 million, it says.
