COMPANY RESULTS

Suez, Agbar and RWE brought out their full year results in time for GWI’s March deadline (Veolia will be covered in April). Suez did well overall (see p16) but the RWE results were more interesting (see p17).

It seems that the company has finally accepted what everyone else has known for some time: there is not much growth in the US private water market (see contract ops survey p14). Fortunately, a change in accounting standards enabled the company to declare that Thames Water has now paid its way in terms of cost of capital.
