China-based water treatment specialist Bio-Treat Technology has won a new 100,000m<sup>3</sup>/d BOT project in the city of Jiangdu in Jiangsu province.
Through a multi-layered structure of JVs incorporated in fiscal paradises, Bio-Treat will own 30% of the project company (which thus accomplishes the legal miracle of being wholly foreign-owned) that will invest RMB178.8 million ($21.5 million) in the project. Bio-Treat’s first major project in Kunshan is not yet operational.
