The Omani government is also proceeding with a new IWPP and the privatisation of an existing power generation company.
There is strong interest in Oman’s next major IWPP which involves the development, financing, design, construction, ownership and operation of a combined power and desalination plant at Barka. The project also includes the privatisation of the government-owned Al Rusail Power Company.
