The City of Nashua in New Hampshire has spent the last four years locked in a bitter battle to buy out its water system from Pennichuck Water.

The courts haven’t yet agreed to this (mis)use of eminent domain to buy out the investor owned utility, but the city has decided to appoint Veolia Water North America to run the system if it wins the battle.
