The Japanese corporation buys an 80% stake in the German water utility.
Berlinwasser Holding confirms that a contract for the sale of an 80% stake in subsidiary Berlinwasser International (BWI) to the Japanese Marubeni Corporation was signed on 14 December, with closing due in May 2006. The Berlin company declined to comment on reports that Marubeni will pay about €51 million for the stake.
