* The winners of the 2006 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards were announced at a gala celebration in Ottawa at the end of October.

The top honour – the Schreyer Award – went to Edmonton’s Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant’s Industrial Water Reuse Facility, which uses
membrane filtration and other technologies to generate 5,000m3/d of treated wastewater for a nearby petrochemical plant. The consulting engineering company was Associated Engineering.
