A new local government is helping to smooth the path for Chennai’s first desalination project at Minjur. To keep in with the new administration, the construction company has already been forced to renegotiate on price.
Chennai’s first desalination facility cleared some political hurdles on its way to financial closure when the developer group led by IVRCL Infrastructure and Projects, a Hyderabad-based construction company, agreed to revise the water pricing terms after the new provincial government reopened a water purchase agreement.
