ITT Fluid Technology has been building a broad portfolio of water-related technologies. Now it wants to make the most of them, divisional president Hank Driesse tells Ian Elkins.
The water industry has recently attracted a string of large industrial groups including GE, Siemens and 3M to make acquisitions in the sector. ITT got there first, however. It bought into the sector in 1968 with the acquisition of Swedish pumps manufacturer Flygt, and it has been growing its water business ever since.
