The Kingdom is pushing ahead with public-private partnerships in the water sector. What is on offer?

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Water and Electricity launched its privatisation programme with a roadshow in Jeddah last month. The immediate focus of the presentation was the proposed five-year management contract for Riyadh city, but the formation of a National Water Company, bringing together the country’s water and wastewater assets, was also outlined.
