* Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection (TCEP) has beaten off a total of seven competitors to win the 25-year transfer-operate-transfer (TOT) contract to run Hangzhou City’s Qige wastewater treatment plant.

The RMB858 million ($107 million) deal represents the largest TOT contract in the Chinese water sector to date, and the first time existing assets and a project under construction have been transferred simultaneously.
