* The campaign against private water took a bizarre turn when 10,000 people showed up to protest against the World Water Forum in Mexico City.
Hitherto the Forum has been an important platform for anti-private sector campaigners. Not any more. Frustrated that private water has not been outlawed, the campaigners have turned against the event itself.
