* Suez and the City of Chongqing signed an agreement on 4 April to create a 50/50 joint venture between the city’s water utility and Suez subsidiary Sino-French Water Development.

The JV will build a 300,000m3/d wastewater treatment plant at Tangjiatuo, serving the Jiang Bei/Yubei sector and will operate it over a 25-year period. The project is expected to cost €60 million, the majority of which will be financed in local currency.
