An extra 400,000m<sup>3</sup>/d of desal is planned. It is desperately needed.
Five of the plants in Algeria’s BOO desalination programme are to undergo capacity increases resulting in an additional 400,000m3/d of new capacity in the west of the country. The plants concerned are those at Beni Saf, Cap Blanc, Mostagenem, Ténès and Tlemcen- Hounaine.
