Suez and Sidem would seem to have the edge but it is still too soon to call.
Offers for the long-awaited Marafiq IWPP were opened last month and were quickly followed by the sound of bidders and officials tapping the numbers into their calculators to work out who had the early advantage. The competing bids showed a wide difference between the power and water prices which made it difficult to determine the low bidder straight out.
