Public-private partnerships may be in trouble elsewhere in Latin America, but in Peru, which has one of the strongest economies in the region, they are progressing well.
The second round of presidential elections in Peru is over and Alan García has won over nationalisation-oriented Ollanta Humala. To a large extent, these results foster the continuation of the private sector participation effort led by ProInversión, the government agency in charge of promoting foreign and local investment in Peru’s infrastructure and industry.
