* There has been a flurry of interest in the UK water market. The publicly quoted water companies came in with a strong set of full-year results (see story p8).
This was reported in the context of the continuing drought in the south-east of the country and concerns over the volume of water lost through leakage, with the suggestion that water companies are making fat profits while failing to secure supply. The politicians have got involved, but it does not look dangerous (see David Lloyd Owen p7).
