Tourist developments are increasing the demand for water in the Kingdom. More will be needed.
The Bahrain government is reportedly considering a new IWPP at Ad Dur in the south east of the Kingdom. If it goes ahead, the project will be Bahrain’s second IWPP following Hidd, for which a consortium of International Power, Suez and Sumitomo signed a power and water purchase agreement (PWPA) earlier this year.
