Cascal is now ready to pursue long-term operating contracts again – with a new partner.
Biwater has finally bought out Nuon, its partner in Cascal, opening the way for the company to reinvigorate its pursuit of international water concessions. The deal, whose terms have not been disclosed, has been partially financed by debt, and Biwater is now looking for a new investor to help take the company forward.
