GE steps back from Hadera despite strong position

The American giant did not like the look of the terms, so one local and one international consortium are the only two to bid for the 274,000m /d desalination plant in Israel.
Only two consortia have submitted bids in the tender to build the Hadera desalination plant, scheduled to produce 274,000m3/d of seawater a year, according to the Water Commission. One consortium that
submitted a bid was an all-Israeli grouping of IDE Technologies together with Housing and Construction.
