Mekorot, Israel’s national water company, has been given the role of turning the country into a Silicon Valley for water technology. Chairman Booky Oren has been busy.

Mekorot’s chairman Baruch (Booky) Oren has been criss-crossing the world as he leads the water agency’s bid to turn water technology into a major export earner for Israel. In the past six months, he has inked deals to promote Israel’s water technology sector in Canada, Australia, China and the US.
