The water quality of Chinese rivers has fallen but measures are being taken to improve the situation.
China’s State Environmental Protection Administration published its 2005 Statistical Report of China’s Environment in June. While it is no surprise that the water quality of China’s rivers has been falling, it would appear that the environmental situation would be a great deal worse were it not for wastewater treatment efforts made during the 10th five-year plan.
