With a buoyant economy and political stability, Brazil is once again looking like an attractive market for international private water. GWI Brazil correspondent John Kolodziejski looks at the outlook.
Brazil’s pioneer private water company concessions, operational since 1995, now serve around 7.16 million of the 188 million population. With the new public-private partnership winding its way through the federal legislature, the government clearly believes that private investment and expertise can benefit the country’s water sector.
