Flat revenues disappoint GE

GE Water has some way to go before it justifies its price. With a new man in charge of the infrastructure division, is it time for a new direction?

GE chief executive Jeff Immelt has conceded that the company’s $4 billion investment in water has disappointed. The admission comes as David Calhoun, the vice chairman of the $47 billion-a-year GE Infrastructure division, leaves the company to join Dutch business media group VNU.
