Veolia Wasser clinches strategic partnership in Austria

The French firm has found a forward-looking municipal partner in Austria.
Veolia Wasser Deutschland has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Austrian municipal utility Stadtwerke Klagenfurt and engineering company Aqua Consult Ingenieur. Assuming the cartel authorities agree, Veolia Wasser will take a 45% stake, and its water engineering subsidiary Aqua Consult Ingenieur will take a 6% share in AQUAssist Wasser Service, a subsidiary of the Stadtwerke.
