Problems in Bordeaux, Lyon, Lille, and Paris could spell the beginning of a troubled journey for the big water distributors in France. Emmanuel Adler reports.
A number of important municipalities in France are reconsidering their contracts with the major water distributors. The first municipality to renegotiate its water contract, the Bordeaux Urban Community (CUB), has forced Suez-Lyonnaise des Eaux to reduce its tariffs.
