* Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has been in China this month, where he signed a series of agreements that should provide for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the field of water technology.
Planned trips by Beijing water officials to Israel will be complemented by regular meetings involving companies from the two countries which are active in the water sector. The agreement also places a strong emphasis on research and development cooperation between Israel and China.
