Mekorot seeks UV partner

The Israeli bulk water supplier is looking to reduce its chlorine footprint by turning to UV. Plant suppliers will have to wait until 2009 for the tender.

Israel’s Mekorot National Water Company is planning to set up a UV water purification plant in northern Israel. The company estimates the cost of the project at $30 million. The plant is to be located at the Eshkol reservoir of the National Water Carrier in the lower Galilee.
