Spain’s irrigators call for extra water

Farmers in Spain want additional water infrastructure to offset the impact of global warming. The government is unconvinced.

The Spanish National Federation of Irrigation Communities (FENACORE) is calling for a major expansion of Spain’s reservoir capacity and the construction of new inter-basin water transfers in order to cope with declining rainfall and to slow down the impact of global warming.
